“Thirteen Fulfilled Prophecy That Point to Christ’s Soon Return”
The Bible is the only book in the world that accurately predicts the future. At Christ’s first advent, he fulfilled over three hundred prophecies, and there are approximately fifteen hundred prophecies in Scripture that predict His second coming. Many of these prophecies could only be fulfilled in modern times. Below is a list of thirteen prophecies that were not fulfilled until recent times.
Travel and Knowledge Will Increase. (Dan. 12:4)
Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Travel: Cars, trains, and planes… Knowledge: Radio, Phone, Internet, science, medicine….
World Population has increased. (Rev. 9:16)
Revelation 9:16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
The two hundred-million-man army is only numerically possible in modern times. At the time of Jesus, there were approximately three hundred million people in the world.
The Rise of False Religion
Matthew 24:3-5 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
There are over 3,000 cults in the world today. American Unitarian Association (forerunner of Unitarian Universalism), launched in 1825; Mormonism, 1830; Seventh-day Adventism, 1863; Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1870; and Christian Science, 1879.
Evil will increase. (II Tim. 3:1-5; Is. 13:11)
2 Timothy 3:1-6 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
In the 20th century, 108 million people died in war, over a billion babies have been aborted, and sin seems to be more rampant and widely available to the public.
Missile technology. (Rev. 6:13-14; 9:17-19; 11:18)
Revelation 6:13-15 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; Revelation 9:17-19 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Up until 1945, humanity could not destroy the earth with swords, spears, and guns.
Global government, economy, and implantable biochips. (Rev. 13:16-18)
Revelation 13:16-18 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
To cause “all” people to receive this mark to buy and sell requires a global government, global electronic banking, and microchip technology.
Artificial intelligence (AI) (Rev. 13:15)
Revelation 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
AI software understands human speech, speaks, and “thinks.”
Satellite Technology and Internet. (Rev. 11:8-10)
Revelation 11:8-10 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
Only until modern times could the whole world see the two witnesses lying dead in the streets of Jerusalem. We can imagine them viewing the witnesses with their smartphones and sending gifts to their friends via Amazon.
Most Churches are full of lukewarm scoffers. (Rev. 3:14-19; II Pet. 3:3)
Revelation 3:14-19 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
Ignoring judgment, hell, and tribulation: “While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.” (Mat. 25:5)
A Muslim, Russian, and Chinese Alliance. (Rev. 9:13-16)
Revelation 9:13-16 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
Nations like Iran, Russia, and China will politically and militarily a line, the Euphrates River will dry up, and a 200-million-man army will go to war against Israel.
The Jews returned to the Promised Land, and the Nation of Israel was reborn in 1948. (Ez. 36:24; 37:12; Is. 43:5-6)
Ezekiel 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
Ezekiel 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
Isaiah 43:4-6 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
Since Israel’s founding as a nation in May 1948, God has regathered many Jews from the north, south, east, and west.
Israel Is militarily superior to Egypt. (Is. 19:17; Ez. 29:14-15)
On four occasions, Egypt declared war against Israel, and in each war, Israel quickly defeated Egypt.
Isaiah 19:17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.
Ezekiel 29:14-15 And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom. It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
The Nation of Israel would prosper economically. (Ez. 36:34-33; Is. 35:1)
Ezekiel 36:34-35 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
Isaiah 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
The nation of Israel has been truly blessed since its national rebirth in 1948. As predicted, the desolate wilderness has “blossomed like a rose.”
Romans 11:25-29 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
